Integrative Breathwork, founded by Jacquelyn Small of Eupsychia
Institute, is a powerful method of self discovery, personal
transformation and healing. Its origins are based on ancient
spiritual and aboriginal traditions, Eastern spiritual
philosophies and Western depth psychology. This transpersonal
approach allows the exploration of our inner life where
psychological and spiritual healing in a non-ordinary state
of consciousness is possible. It is not a substitute for
counseling, but can greatly benefit the counseling process.
Integrative Breathwork is always conducted in a safe and sacred
space and begins by lying down and surrendering to the healer
within. By offering powerful invocations and centering awareness
in the physical body, participants begin turning inward where
they can experience approximately 2 hours of musical meditation
designed to unveil psyche’s treasures. Through the use
of carefully selected music and focused breathing, an experience
is created which allows you to access deeper states of consciousness.
In this inner terrain, the healer within emerges. You may have
peak experiences, release body memories or receive insight into
your soul’s story. This inner healer accesses the wisdom
needed for change on the unconscious, conscious and cellular
levels. The evocative music can help you connect to and release
feelings which may be hidden obstacles or blocks to your spiritual
and psychological growth. Without these blocks you can connect
more easily to your creativity, wisdom, and deeper states of
relaxation and well being.
The experience is further integrated by the special emphasis
placed on mandala drawing (symbolic artwork) and group processing
in a supportive environment.
