About the Artist:
Born and raised in Southern California I started writing and
drawing at a very young age. I started painting at the age
of 12 and stopped at the age of 16 to pursue my career.
After
Years of being in the corporate world I am now retired and
am able to freely choose what I want to do. Since oil painting
is one of my passions, in 2006 I decided to pick up my brush
and apply it to the canvas once again.
I look
at the canvas as my world and this is my creation.
Some of my art is done with acrylic & oil. For
the most part oil is my love.
My painting style is called Semi-Realism. I like to paint as real as possible
in a 3-D technique.
One of the striking things about painting is that when I
look at something, I truly see it and study it. As the old
saying goes” stop and smell the roses”,
it’s a true statement.
The trees, clouds, rocks, water, mountains, everything
becomes so real. I start to become Aware of it right now, in
the "Now Moment". I know
that for me, I'm truly becoming "Awakened". All life as
I see it is Beautiful.
Monica is the author

on a "Love
Story", a ghost that has haunted her since 1992.
