Western Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy

The academy overlooks beautiful Lake Havasu on the Colorado River. The location possesses an atmosphere of tranquility, yet maintains the structure of military discipline.

WALETA is located at Lake Havasu City Water Safety Center at 1801 Highway 95 South. The location is also known as Contact Point because it overlooks beautiful Lake Havasu, a 45 mile long body of water fed by the Colorado River. The facility is leased from Arizona State Parks. The academy's location offers numerous classroom venues, outside areas for physical training, and ample parking.

The on-site dorm-style facilities house four recruits to each room providing closets, drawers, foot lockers, a microwave oven, and a small refrigerator in each room. WALETA delivers catered meals for breakfast and lunch. Recruits have the opportunity to choose where they would like to dine in the evening. There are dozens of choices for dining locally, from fast food and buffet-style menus, to fine food and ethnic cuisine.
